Our Family

Just a little bit of history about my sweet family, I met my husband during my Freshman year during college. He was a Junior, and I was immediately swept off my feet by my own personal
Prince Charming.

We were engaged a week before my 20th birthday, during my Sophomore year. I'll be honest I don't know how he thought he was going to top his proposal with a present for my birthday because his proposal was like something out of a story book.

We had already picked out a ring and knew who the bridal party would be, but still weren't engaged... I was waiting and waiting trying to figure out when it would happen and of course he surprised me! The day started out with a massage in my apartment, then a surprise visitor, my best friend from high school! Then we went to my favorite restaurant for lunch, and he had coordinated with my other 5 bridesmaids to meet at spots all around town that were significant to our relationship. At each spot we picked up another bridesmaid, and finally met Cliff at the park where we shared our first kiss. So my 6 closest friends got to witness me say yes to the love of my life. And a fabulous detail that I forgot to mention, at every stop each bridesmaid had 3 roses, then Cliff had two dozen roses. So at the end of the day, my apartment was filled with almost 4 dozen roses everywhere. Every detail was so thought out and purposeful, with significant meaning to our relationship, past, present, and future.

We were married May 27, 2007, in Corsicana, Texas, where Cliff's family has a ranch. It was planned as an outdoor wedding, but it tsunami'd the whole week before so we had to improvise A LOT, let's just say there was a lot of ply board involved! You think I'm joking when I compare the rain to a tsunami, but I'm serious it rained so much that Cliff and I will have good luck for millennias to come. But, I was marrying the man of my dreams and I had the best bridal party I could've asked for.

Luckily, the Walmart in Corsicana saved the day with all of the theme-colored umbrellas, and it's funny but these are some of my favorite pictures!

We were happily married while I finished school, and was so involved with everything I could've ever wanted to be involved in. I credit my husband, because it is rare to have the college experience that I did while being married in college. He is a gem, that I intend to keep very close forever.

We moved to east Texas in May of 2009, into a beautiful home (in which we still live) that we love!

In early October 2010, we were so blessed to find out that we were pregnant. Here we were at my best friend, Megan's, (out-of-town) wedding at 37 weeks.

I had Macy Jane 8 days later. Such a good story!

Macy's (honorary) Aunt Megan travelled the 8-hours to come visit her in the hospital.

Macy had a lot of visitors on her first day. We are so blessed!

It's all been downhill from there. Cliff and I have been caught in a blissful free fall as we learn more about our precious daughter and watch her grow. Things are utter bliss in this McGraw household and we thank God everyday for blessing us with each other.
