Some of the Best Quotes from the Past 21 Weeks...

So in the past few months we have had some really funny times, and even more hysterical conversations...

-Emily: "I have to pee, but when I get back let's poke the baby some more."

-Cliff: "I'm not going to let our kid watch Bambi until it's much older and can understand my extracurricular activities (hunting)."

-Cliff: "If you don't stop, I'm going to tickle you."
Emily: "No! Don't! I'm going to pee!"

-Emily: "Where are you going?"
Cliff: "Wherever I want!"
Emily: "Well, will you bring the Pringles when you come back?!"

-Clayton Hilton: "Can me and Austin be your baby's god-dudes? Then when we take it on field trips we can wear shirts that say God-Dudes"
Emily: Thinking to myself... "When did I say Clayton and Austin could take my child on field trips?"

While I'm watching TV in our room, I can hear Cliff singing along to the CSI theme song in the living room.

So... we have a favorite type of bread, aka Wheatberry Bread, and it is oh so delicious. Well our Brookshire's likes to keep demand high or something and so they only have it every once in a while. Just the other day, we were shopping and saw they had some, and so of course we bought two loaves which is completely way too much bread for the two of us. So now every time I say I'm hungry Cliff tries to get me to eat meals that include a lot of bread. (Right after I read this part to Cliff, he asked me if I was sure I didn't want any toast.)

-Molly Cox: "Girl, I hear you be plump with human!"

-Clayton Hilton, every day to Cliff: "Dude, did you find out if it's a dude or a chick?"

-Austin: "AC Services can teach your kid 1st grade math, but nothing higher because they only teach basic shapes and numbers up to five at Martin's Mill."

-Austin: "Cliff, should we teach your baby Madden or Black Ops first?"
Cliff: "What if it's a girl?"
Austin: "UUUUGGGHHH... Trade it back in"

-Emily: "Hey Clayton, let's compare bellies!"

-Clayton and Austin: "Hey we can babysit the kid when you have to go teach class!"
Emily: "Clayton, you will be living in Lubbock and going to school at LCU, and Austin, you will need to be at school during that time also..."
Clayton: "We can watch him over webcam!"

A lot of times Cliff and I just talk about how excited we are for all the changes that are about to happen. We talk about how much fun it's going to be to have the little one next to us when we are having relaxing nights like tonight when we are just hanging out watching movies and TV. So many times we just laugh and talk about how neat it is to feel our baby move. Overall, we are loving this time so much and so looking forward to meeting our little "bun in the oven." Mommy-zilla

So yes, you read the title correctly. I fear that I am turning into a Mommy-zilla...

The smallest things have been setting me off lately. I have the shortest fuse and no patience for stupid people. So as you can probably guess, this is a problem for me. I'm really hoping that this is just a pregnancy thing, because I think I'm going crazy and no one is safe! I could easily baby rage on anyone!

Anyways, in lighter news, this baby is getting big and fast too! I've been having a lot of round ligament pain, it's a lot like waking up the morning after doing a hardcore ab workout. I also have been feeling the baby like crazy too, and all the time. Cliff and I used to laugh about the baby having designated "play time" around 11 PM because that's when we would feel all the crazy, big movements, but now I can feel a lot of stuff going on. The last time we were at the doctor's office, she said that our baby is super active, and now I'm feeling it. It's kind of painful, because I guess there's not enough room in there, but at the same time I love it because I know that's my crazy baby in there! But yeah, I'm also getting pretty big too, which makes me worry about how big this baby is going to be, see photo below....

We are also taking pictures with Amylu Photography on Tuesday, so make sure to check back to see those photos because they are going to be awesome!

19 Weeks

Holla faithful followers,

Today I hit the 19 weeks mark, woohoo! Most of the time people can accompany that statement with saying whether the baby is a boy or a girl. Unfortunately, as I'm sure many of you have heard by word of mouth or carrier pigeon, we will not find out until Tuesday, March 1st. That is exactly 2 weeks, and 4 days from now, but who's counting... It is beyond infuriating to not know. Everyone I talk to is like, "Oh we found out at 12 weeks"... Well dang it- of course you did. I'm going kind of stir crazy planning all of this stuff. I bought paint samples and painted them on the wall....

I think that dark gray is really nice for either a boy or a girl. Then the dark red would be the accent wall for a boy, and the teal blue would be the accent wall for a girl, if we even decide to do an accent wall. I'm telling you, I feel like I need to be doing something so I'm just making stuff up to do!! We also went back to the furniture store in Tyler and looked at the crib and dresser set that we love again. We also found an incredible rocker recliner chair that comes in a deep red microsuede, and it is so wonderful! It reminds me of the awesome "L" couch we had in Lubbock. Now I'm just struggling with where everything is going to go, and what's going to look best. Then beyond all that, the furniture that I was just talking about is the color scheme for a boy's room. If it turns out that it's a girl, then I don't know what!! I am a complete basket case already. Why couldn't my doctor have just tried at our last appointment?! I begged! How can you turn a poor, distraught pregnant woman down? I have no idea. So now I'm just waiting for divine intervention, and hoping it arrives before March 1st.

Much love, C&E
